Support my challenge to leave MS behind!

I’m taking part in The May 50K. I will get on my bike and take on 500km throughout May and leaving my limits behind to increase funding for vital MS research worldwide, improve access to effective treatment and support for everyone – no matter where they live. The May 50K is one of the most important ways we can help achieve those goals.

There are over 2.8 million people living with MS and I need your help to leave MS where it belongs, behind us.

Working together across the globe, MSIF boosts scientific progress to prevent, treat and stop MS. Striving for a world where everyone living with MS can access treatments.

Many years ago I have seen how tough MS can be, after my father was diagnosed with MS, way back in 1973.  Many years later I became CEO of the MS International Federation (MSIF), and have seen how lots of organisations working together around the world can make a real difference for people affected by MS. I retired 18 months ago - but this is a cause that does not stop when you retire!

I’ve accepted The May 50K challenge to change lives.

There are many causes that need support - if this one is close to your heart - please make a donation (however small or large) to support my challenge.

Thank you so much!  Heel veel dank! Grazie mille! Muchas gracias! Vielen Dank! Merci beaucoup - and thanks to everybody else!

My Updates

Half Way May, but still quite a few K's to go!

I can't believe it is May - still really cold here in the beautiful Chiltern Hills, just west outside the London sprawl. Cycling with gloves, my woolen legg-warmers and winter jacket. Even so, am loving it: bird song all around, still patches of blue-bells in the wooded hills. Now, I am also looking forward to some longer rides when it gets warmer and see if I can overshoot my K-target.....?

Thanks so much to everybody who has supported me so far!!!!
