Support my challenge to leave MS behind!
I’m taking part in The May 50K. I will be taking on 120km throughout May and leaving my limits behind to raise funds for life-changing research into multiple sclerosis, better access to treatments and to support people living with MS in Ireland!
There are over 9,000 people in Ireland living with multiple sclerosis. At the MS International Federation and MS Ireland, it’s our mission to leave MS where it belongs, behind us.
You can now support this work in Ireland and around the world, so I’ve accepted The May 50K challenge to change lives.
Please make a donation to support my challenge.
Thank you so much!
New Goal: Half MarathonHaving reached my 120km in 3 weeks, my new goal is to do a half marathon run before World MS Day (30 May). We also reached my fundraising goal so now it's all about over clocking those targets :)
25% doneThe first week is not over yet but I managed to drag myself out for a 10k run today after my 5k yesterday and 16k on Sunday, I have 31 of 120km done :) I'm also just in and now it's raining -- Perfect!
First Run DoneAs the first day of May was a Sunday, I set off for my long slow run. Happily, it coincided with my previous distance goal of 16km. That's my longest run since I started running again last November. I managed it with an average pace of 7min/km. I'm very happy with that. Time to make some waffles 😀
Increased goalI am very happy to be in the position of increasing my fundraising goal. We reached my first goal even though the challenge doesn't even begin until next month. I have now doubled the goal to €240. Thank you to everyone for your generosity.
Blown Away93% of my goal has already been raised. I am completely blown away by the generosity of my friends. The challenge has not even begun yet. Many thanks to you ❤
