My Progress

I'm walking 50 kms this month to leave MS behind

My Progress

65 KMS

My target

50 KMS

Support my challenge to leave MS behind!

I’m taking part in The May 50K. I will be taking on 50km throughout May and leaving my limits behind to increase funding for vital MS research worldwide, improve access to effective treatment and support for everyone – no matter where they live.

There are over 2.8 million people living with MS and over 5000 living in South Africa. I need your help to leave MS where it belongs, behind us.

Research and global action are the keys to changing the future of MS, so I’ve accepted The May 50K challenge to change lives.

Together we are Stronger than MS

Across Continents, Together in Strength and Hope!

Across Continents, Together in Strength and Hope! 🌍

Today, Susanne Schneider (Germany) and I (South Africa) walked together, miles apart but connected by something much greater—#TheMay50k Challenge and a deep sense of unity.

Susanne is one of those rare souls who radiates warmth, kindness, and boundless positivity. Walking “together” with her is a reminder of the incredible power of global connections. It’s not just about the kilometers we add—it’s about the strength, support, and friendship we collect along the way.

Susanne, thank you for sharing this journey with me. Your joy, resilience, and love for life (and cats!) are simply infectious. May our shared steps today be the start of many more, and may the connections we build continue to inspire and support others.

Here’s to unity, hope, and the wonderful friendships that stretch across borders! 🌏❤️

🌟 A Heartfelt Thank You to My Incredible Sponsors! 🌟

I am overwhelmed with deep gratitude for your generosity in supporting my May50K challenge. Thanks to your incredible donations, I have not only reached but surpassed my goal! This means the world to me, and I am so excited that together, we are making strides toward a world free of multiple sclerosis (MS).

But our work is far from over. We need more people to join us in this challenge—not just as fundraisers but as champions for change. MS is a complex condition, and far too often, its early symptoms are missed or dismissed by healthcare professionals. That is why it is absolutely essential to continue our efforts to:

✅ Upskill general practitioners and allied healthcare workers to recognize the early signs of MS.

✅ Promote early diagnosis, because catching MS early means starting treatment sooner—and that can change lives.

✅ Ensure access to treatment for everyone, everywhere, because healthcare is a human right.

Too many people—especially in Africa—are walking around with undiagnosed, misdiagnosed, or untreated MS. With your support, we are not just raising funds; we are raising awareness, spreading knowledge, and fighting for a future where no one has to face MS alone or without the care they deserve.

Thank you for standing with me. Together, we are making a real difference.

With heartfelt appreciation
